Dance Dance Modular

A modular project which you use paper, cardboard, etc. Cut them up into shapes and sizes and make some slots so you can put them together and make structures.

This is my modular project which I called it "Dance Dance Modular" because when someone poke the legs from the side, it dance a bit. Unfortunately I forgot to record it on a video. Anyway, what I did was cut a few small 5cm squares for the body and 3 10cm square for the feet + top.
(My classmates said that it looks like transformers)
After we finish the project, Eric, Jason and me combine our modular just for fun.

Mini Billboard

This is a group project called "mechanical turk", where you are suppose to build a game or something else with a life size human doll which you control it while hiding.

My group build a device that can show rotating images or texts, yes basically it is the same as those rotating billboards that you see on the roads, that is why I called it "Mini Billboard".

Firstly we cut a cardboard box for the base of the billboard...

Then we make 4 smaller rectangular shaped cardboards, this is where the images & texts will be display...

Next we tape together a few bamboo sticks...

and pierce them through the 4 rectangular shaped boxes and tape it at both ends to make it stable...

paste them with some pictures & texts at each 4 sides of the rectangular boxes, next you put them inside the big box and... you're done!

What you do now is hide behind the billboard and wait for the viewer to rotate the top/first rectangular box then you'll have just to follow and rotate the rest of the rectangular box to match the first one from behind.
